Deborah Thompson

Deborah Thompson's island landscapes have been renowned for years. Her signature paintings call to mind a timeless Hawai’i with a vintage flair. She works primarily in oils and acrylics but also creates 3 dimensional sculptural plaster murals, faux finishes, Lusterstone, Ventian Plaster and custom paints furniture.

She captures the beauty of Hawai’i with a special focus on detailed tropical botanicals. Having a distinct and recognizable style, Thompson’s work has been sought and acquired by numerous private and public collectors throughout the United States, Asia and Europe.

Deborah makes her home with her husband Steve and two daughters Rachel and Emily on the Big Island in Hawi, Hawaii, a small rural artists community in the middle of ranch country. She teaches art to 1st-6th graders at Hawaii Montessori Elementary School in Kamuela, HI. She is an active part of the community here and takes pride in promoting Hawai’i's natural treasures and landscape in her artwork.
